Kindergarten is a year of many developmental milestones. The kindergarten program at The Vail Academy is based on the education of the whole child. Students are taught academics as well as emotional, social, and spiritual health.

Students are taught in various ways to appeal to a variety of learning styles; including many hands-on, engaging, and interactive activities. A strong foundation in Language Arts is emphasized, preparing students to be life-long learners.

Respect and responsibility are important lessons at this age. They learn respect for authority and for one another. Learning responsibility for yourself, your work, the classroom, and others provide “character building blocks” for independence and a good work ethic. Character lessons are taught in a loving manner and from a Christian perspective.
