Preparing students to face their world with a sense of purpose and enthusiasm and to use their God-given gifts to make a difference is no small challenge. But The Vail Academy is doing it.
We believe developing Christian virtue is the key to having a healthy soul, leading to the joy and contentment which comes from being conformed to the image of Christ. The Vail Academy is committed to being a blessing in our community and thus we offer students and parents various opportunites to serve others within the school, our local community, and the world at large. Some of our service opportunities are listed below.
Big Brother/Big Sister Program This program promotes servant leadership and unity within the school body. Older students are paired with younger students and opportunities are provided throughout the year for cross-age interaction.
Student Government Our student government program exists to build school unity, provide students with an avenue of communication, promote school events, and learn servant leadership through serving the school.
Service Corps Upper Academy students fulfill specific service projects from being classroom aides in elementary school, help with lunch, drop-off and pick-up duties, and numerous other activities that bless the local school community.
Community Service The Vail Academy provides students of all ages with the opportunity to move outside the classroom setting incorporating a Biblical view of servanthood and giving through a variety of activities from local to international. Students and families participate in activities such as Community Service Day, Compassion International and the annual community food drive.
"…to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:12-13
