Athletic activities are a great way to have fun and build relationships, but they are also very important for character development. In addition to the regular P.E. program, The Vail Academy offers an outdoor education program designed with the local environment in mind. The program includes ski days, hikes, hut trips, Gore Range Natural Science School and other field trips. The overall objective is to provide students with an educational environment for greater school and class unity; learning to work together, relating to different age levels and athletic abilities, and to serve one another. We also offer after school and intramural athletics throughout the school year and compete in the Eagle County League in the following sports: Fall: (August-September) Girls Volleyball (6-8), Boys Football via public schools (6-8)  CHAMPIONSHIPS2008-2009 8th Grade Girl's Volleyball 2007-2008 7th Grade Girl's Volleyball 8th Grade Girl's Basketball 7th Grade Boy's Basketball 2006-2007
